1 - Stand sideways to the direction you will travel with your feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent, and arms relaxed for balance.
2 - Begin moving laterally by stepping your lead foot out to the side.
3 - Cross your trailing foot in front of the lead foot while rotating your hips and torso naturally.
4 - Step the lead foot out to the side again, then cross the trailing foot behind the lead foot.
5 - Continue alternating front and back cross-over steps in a smooth, rhythmic pattern while staying light on the balls of your feet.
6 - Keep your chest up, core engaged, and movement controlled without letting your knees collapse inward.
7 - Complete the desired distance or duration, then repeat in the opposite direction.
