- Place an agility ladder flat on the ground and stand sideways next to the first square.
- Begin in an athletic stance with knees slightly bent, chest up, and arms ready to move naturally for balance.
- Step the foot closest to the ladder into the first square, then cross the outside foot over and place it into the same or next square depending on the drill pattern.
- Continue moving laterally down the ladder by alternating crossover steps while keeping your hips mostly square and your feet light.
- Maintain quick, controlled foot placement without stepping on the ladder rungs.
- Complete the full length of the ladder, then reset and repeat in the opposite direction.
