Lateral Shuffle
- 1 - Stand in an athletic stance with your feet about shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, hips back, chest up, and core braced.
- 2 - Keep your weight on the balls of your feet and your arms ready for balance or quick movement.
- 3 - Push off your outside foot and shuffle sideways in one direction, stepping laterally with the lead foot first.
- 4 - Quickly bring the trailing foot toward the lead foot without crossing your feet or letting them touch together.
- 5 - Continue shuffling for the desired distance or time while staying low and maintaining a controlled, quick rhythm.
- 6 - Reverse direction by pushing off the outside foot and repeating the same lateral shuffle pattern back the other way.
- 7 - Keep your knees tracking over your toes and avoid standing upright or bouncing excessively during the movement.
