Lateral Skip
- 1 - Stand upright with your feet hip-width apart, arms relaxed at your sides.
- 2 - Begin by stepping laterally to one side with your lead foot, pushing off the ground with a slight hop as you bring the trailing foot to meet it.
- 3 - As you step and hop, drive the opposite knee upward and swing the opposite arm forward in a coordinated, rhythmic motion.
- 4 - Continue skipping laterally in one direction for the desired distance or duration, maintaining a light and springy contact with the ground.
- 5 - Keep your core engaged, chest tall, and eyes forward throughout the movement.
- 6 - Reverse direction and repeat the lateral skip to the opposite side, ensuring equal work on both sides.
- 7 - Focus on smooth, rhythmic coordination between your arms and legs throughout the movement.
