- Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart and your arms relaxed at your sides.
- Step forward with one leg and lower into a lunge until both knees are bent to about 90 degrees, keeping your front knee aligned over your toes.
- As you reach the bottom of the lunge, raise both arms overhead and slightly back to open the hips and torso without arching excessively through the lower back.
- Keep your chest lifted, core engaged, and back knee hovering just above the ground.
- Press through the front heel to stand up and bring the back leg forward into the next lunge step.
- Repeat on the opposite side, alternating legs as you move forward for the desired reps or distance.
