Barbell Overhead Press
- 1 - Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and grip the barbell slightly wider than shoulder-width with palms facing forward.
- 2 - Position the barbell at upper chest level, just below your chin, resting lightly on your front deltoids.
- 3 - Brace your core, squeeze your glutes, and keep your torso upright to maintain a neutral spine.
- 4 - Press the barbell directly overhead in a straight path, slightly moving your head back to allow the bar to pass your face.
- 5 - As the bar clears your forehead, push your head slightly forward so the bar finishes directly above your ears at full arm extension.
- 6 - Lower the bar back down in a controlled motion to the starting position at upper chest level.
- 7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining a stable core and upright posture throughout.
