Adiletix - Band Woodchop - Step-by-Step Guide
Band Woodchop
1 - Attach a resistance band to a secure anchor point at shoulder height or above, positioned to your side.
2 - Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, perpendicular to the anchor point, with the band on your right or left side.
3 - Grasp the band with both hands, arms extended, and rotate your torso toward the anchor point to create tension.
4 - In one controlled diagonal motion, pull the band across your body downward — rotating from high to low — like a chopping motion.
5 - Engage your core throughout the movement, pivoting your back foot slightly to allow full hip and torso rotation.
6 - Pause briefly at the end of the movement when your hands reach hip or knee level on the opposite side.
7 - Slowly return to the starting position in a controlled manner and repeat for the desired reps before switching sides.
