Star Excursion Balance
- 1 - Stand barefoot or in stable athletic shoes on one leg with your knee slightly bent and your torso tall.
- 2 - Keep your hips level and your standing foot planted as you lightly brace your core.
- 3 - Reach the free leg as far as possible in one direction, lightly tapping the floor without shifting weight onto the reaching foot.
- 4 - Return the reaching leg to the starting position under control while maintaining balance on the standing leg.
- 5 - Repeat the reach in multiple directions around the body, such as forward, diagonal, side, and backward, forming a star pattern.
- 6 - Complete the desired number of reaches or repetitions, then switch legs and repeat.
- 7 - Move slowly and prioritize control, knee alignment, and balance over reach distance.
