1 - Sit on the floor with your legs extended straight in front of you and your torso upright.
2 - Set a barbell at shoulder height in a rack, or clean the bar into the front rack position if appropriate.
3 - Grip the bar slightly wider than shoulder-width with your elbows under or slightly in front of the bar.
4 - Brace your core, keep your chest tall, and avoid leaning back as you prepare to press.
5 - Press the bar overhead in a straight path until your arms are fully extended and the bar is stacked over your shoulders and hips.
6 - Lower the bar under control back to the front rack position without losing your upright posture.
7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
