Cable High-To-Low Wood Chop
- 1 - Attach a handle to a high pulley on a cable machine and stand sideways to the machine with your feet about shoulder-width apart.
- 2 - Grasp the handle with both hands and step away slightly so there is tension on the cable with your arms extended toward the pulley.
- 3 - Brace your core, keep your chest up, and maintain a slight bend in your knees.
- 4 - Rotate your torso and pull the handle diagonally downward across your body toward the outside of your opposite hip or thigh.
- 5 - Keep your arms mostly straight and allow your hips and torso to rotate together while controlling the movement.
- 6 - Slowly return the handle along the same diagonal path back to the starting position without letting the weight stack slam down.
- 7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch sides.
