Barbell Cyclist Squat
- Place a barbell on your upper traps as you would for a standard back squat, and position a weight plate or wedge on the floor.
- Stand with your heels elevated on the plate or wedge, feet close together and toes pointed slightly outward.
- Brace your core, keep your chest tall, and maintain an upright torso throughout the movement.
- Initiate the squat by bending at the knees, allowing them to travel forward over your toes while keeping your torso as vertical as possible.
- Descend until your thighs are parallel to the floor or as deep as your mobility allows, keeping your knees tracking in line with your toes.
- Drive through your heels and forefoot to press the floor away, extending your knees and hips to return to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining control and an upright posture throughout.
