Machine Single-Leg Leg Press
1 - Sit down on the leg press machine and place one foot in the center of the platform at approximately shoulder-width height, keeping your other foot flat on the floor or resting it to the side.
2 - Adjust the seat so your knee is bent at approximately 90 degrees and your lower back is firmly pressed against the backrest.
3 - Grip the handles on the sides of the seat for stability and disengage the safety locks.
4 - Press the platform away from you by extending your knee and hip, driving through your heel until your leg is nearly fully extended but not locked out.
5 - Slowly lower the platform back down in a controlled manner until your knee returns to approximately 90 degrees of flexion.
6 - Complete all desired repetitions on one leg before switching to the other side.
7 - Re-engage the safety locks before exiting the machine.
