Side-Lying Hip Abduction
1 - Lie on your side on a mat with your body in a straight line, legs stacked on top of each other.
2 - Support your head with your lower arm or rest it on your outstretched arm for comfort.
3 - Place your top hand on the floor in front of your chest for stability.
4 - Keeping your top leg straight and toes pointed slightly downward, slowly raise it upward to approximately 45 degrees.
5 - Pause briefly at the top of the movement, squeezing the glute and hip abductor muscles.
6 - Slowly lower your leg back down to the starting position in a controlled manner.
7 - Complete all reps on one side before switching to the other side.
