Barbell Larsen Press
- 1 - Lie flat on a bench with your feet raised off the ground and extended straight out in front of you, keeping them together or slightly apart.
- 2 - Position yourself so that your eyes are directly under the bar and your back is flat against the bench with no leg drive or arch.
- 3 - Grip the barbell with a slightly wider than shoulder-width grip, palms facing forward.
- 4 - Unrack the bar by fully extending your arms, then slowly lower it to your mid-chest in a controlled manner.
- 5 - Maintain full back contact with the bench throughout the movement, as the lack of leg drive increases the demand on the chest and stabilizers.
- 6 - Press the bar back up explosively to the starting position until your arms are fully extended.
- 7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, keeping your core tight and feet floating throughout the entire set.
