Spanish Squat
- 1 - Anchor a strong resistance band or strap around a stable post at about knee height.
- 2 - Step inside the band so it sits behind both knees, then walk back until there is firm tension pulling your knees forward.
- 3 - Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart and keep your torso upright, chest lifted, and core braced.
- 4 - Sit your hips straight down and slightly back into a squat while allowing the band to support your knees; keep your shins relatively vertical.
- 5 - Lower until your thighs are around parallel to the floor or to a comfortable pain-free depth.
- 6 - Hold the bottom position for the prescribed time or drive through your feet to stand back up for repetitions.
- 7 - Maintain controlled movement and avoid letting your knees collapse inward throughout the exercise.
