Ring Dip Negative
- 1 - Set the rings to a height where you can safely reach the top support position, using a box or jump if needed.
- 2 - Grip the rings firmly and begin at the top of a dip with arms locked out, shoulders depressed, chest lifted, and rings held close to your sides.
- 3 - Brace your core, keep your legs slightly in front or bent behind you, and maintain a stable body position without swinging.
- 4 - Slowly lower your body by bending your elbows and allowing your shoulders to move slightly forward as the rings stay close to your torso.
- 5 - Descend under control for the prescribed tempo until your shoulders are just below your elbows or you reach a comfortable end range.
- 6 - Step down to the floor or box to reset instead of pressing back up, then return to the top support position.
- 7 - Repeat for the desired number of controlled negative repetitions.
