Inverted Row Between Chairs
- Place two sturdy chairs of equal height parallel to each other, slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, ensuring they are stable and will not slide.
- Place a broomstick, barbell, or similar rigid bar horizontally across the seats of both chairs to act as a grip point, or grip the edges of the chair seats directly.
- Lie on your back between the chairs and reach up to grip the bar or chair edges with an overhand grip, hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.
- Extend your legs straight out in front of you with your heels on the floor, forming a straight line from head to heels. This is your starting position.
- Engage your core and squeeze your glutes to maintain a rigid body position throughout the movement.
- Pull your chest up toward the bar or grip point by retracting your shoulder blades and driving your elbows back, until your chest nearly touches the bar.
- Lower yourself in a controlled manner back to the starting position with arms fully extended, and repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
