Plate Pinch Hold
- 1 - Select an appropriate weight plate (or two thinner plates stacked together) and stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart.
- 2 - Pinch the plate between your thumb and fingers on one or both hands, holding it at your side with your arm fully extended.
- 3 - Ensure your grip is solely through the pinching action of your thumb and fingers — avoid resting the plate on your palm.
- 4 - Hold the plate for the desired duration, keeping your shoulders relaxed and your core engaged to maintain good posture.
- 5 - Avoid shrugging your shoulder or leaning to the side — keep your body neutral and upright throughout the hold.
- 6 - Once the time is up, carefully set the plate down in a controlled manner and switch hands if performing unilaterally.
