Cable Hip Abduction
- 1 - Attach an ankle cuff to a low cable pulley and secure it around the ankle farthest from the machine.
- 2 - Stand upright beside the cable machine, holding the frame for balance, with your feet close together and your torso tall.
- 3 - Brace your core and keep a slight bend in the standing leg while maintaining a neutral spine.
- 4 - Move the cuffed leg out to the side in a controlled arc, leading with the heel and keeping the toes pointed forward or slightly inward.
- 5 - Pause briefly at the top of the movement without leaning your torso or rotating your hips.
- 6 - Slowly return the working leg to the starting position under control, resisting the cable pull.
- 7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch sides.
