Lateral Hurdle Jump
- 1 - Stand upright with your feet hip-width apart beside a hurdle or low obstacle, with the hurdle to one side of you.
- 2 - Slightly bend your knees and hips into an athletic stance, loading your weight into the balls of your feet.
- 3 - Explosively push off both feet, driving your knees upward and propelling your body laterally over the hurdle.
- 4 - Land softly on both feet on the opposite side of the hurdle, absorbing the impact through your ankles, knees, and hips to cushion the landing.
- 5 - Immediately rebound explosively, jumping back over the hurdle to the starting side in a continuous rhythm.
- 6 - Maintain an upright torso and engaged core throughout the movement to stabilize your body on each landing.
- 7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions or duration, focusing on minimizing ground contact time and maximizing lateral power.
