Smith Machine Incline Bench Press
- Set an adjustable bench to a 30–45 degree incline and position it inside the Smith machine so the bar lines up over your upper chest.
- Lie back on the bench with your feet planted firmly on the floor, shoulder blades pulled back and down, and a slight natural arch in your lower back.
- Grip the bar slightly wider than shoulder-width with your palms facing forward and wrists stacked over your elbows.
- Unrack the bar by rotating it off the hooks, then lower it in a controlled motion toward your upper chest.
- Pause briefly near the chest without bouncing, keeping your elbows slightly tucked and your shoulders stable.
- Press the bar upward along the Smith machine track until your arms are extended without locking your elbows aggressively.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then safely rotate the bar back onto the hooks.
