Depth Jumps
1 - Stand on a sturdy box or platform (typically 30-60cm in height) with your feet shoulder-width apart and toes near the edge.
2 - Step off the box — do not jump off — and land softly on both feet simultaneously with a slight forward lean and knees slightly bent.
3 - Upon landing, immediately and explosively jump upward as fast as possible, minimizing ground contact time.
4 - Swing your arms upward forcefully to maximize jump height and power output.
5 - Land softly with bent knees to absorb the impact, then reset and step back onto the box.
6 - Focus on the reactive strength component — the key is the speed of the transition from landing to takeoff, not just jump height.
7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, ensuring quality of movement throughout.
