- Sit on the ground or in a sled seat with your legs extended in front of you, facing the rope or sled.
- Grasp the rope with both hands, one hand closer to you and one hand extended forward, as if you are about to begin a hand-over-hand pulling motion.
- Lean back slightly to create tension and engage your core and lats.
- Pull the rope toward you with your leading hand while the opposite hand prepares to take the next grip further along the rope.
- Alternate hands in a continuous pulling motion, driving the sled or load toward you with each pull.
- Maintain a strong, upright or slightly reclined torso throughout the movement, keeping your core braced and shoulders engaged.
- Continue until the sled reaches you or the desired distance is completed.
