Standing Plate Twist
- 1 - Stand tall with your feet about shoulder-width apart and hold a weight plate with both hands in front of your chest.
- 2 - Brace your core, keep your chest lifted, and maintain a slight bend in your knees.
- 3 - Extend your arms slightly forward while keeping the plate controlled and close enough to avoid straining your shoulders.
- 4 - Rotate your torso to one side, allowing your shoulders and upper trunk to turn while keeping your hips mostly stable.
- 5 - Return to the center with control, then rotate your torso to the opposite side.
- 6 - Continue alternating sides for the desired number of repetitions.
- 7 - Avoid swinging the plate or twisting through your lower back; keep the movement controlled and driven by your core.
