
Sitting Dynamic Side Stretch
- 1 - Sit on the floor with your legs crossed or extended straight in front of you, maintaining an upright posture with your spine tall.
- 2 - Place one hand on the floor beside your hip for light support, and raise the opposite arm straight overhead with your palm facing inward.
- 3 - Inhale to prepare, then as you exhale, dynamically reach and arc your raised arm up and over to the side, creating a lateral stretch through your torso and obliques.
- 4 - Hold the stretched position for 1-2 seconds, feeling the elongation along your side body from hip to fingertip.
- 5 - Return in a controlled motion back to the upright starting position as you inhale.
- 6 - Repeat the movement rhythmically for the desired number of repetitions, then switch arms to stretch the opposite side.
