Side Split
- 1 - Stand upright with your feet together and your hands on your hips or resting on a support for balance.
- 2 - Slowly slide or step both feet outward to the sides, keeping your toes pointing forward or slightly outward.
- 3 - Lower your hips toward the ground as you continue spreading your legs apart, maintaining an upright torso.
- 4 - Keep your core engaged and your knees straight or slightly soft to avoid hyperextension.
- 5 - Hold the deepest comfortable position for 20–60 seconds, breathing deeply and relaxing into the stretch with each exhale.
- 6 - To exit, carefully engage your inner thighs and use your hands for support as you slowly bring your feet back together.
