Dumbbell Step-Down
- 1 - Stand on a sturdy box or elevated platform with both feet, holding a dumbbell in each hand at your sides.
- 2 - Shift your weight onto one leg, keeping your chest tall and core braced throughout the movement.
- 3 - Slowly lower your non-working foot toward the floor by bending the knee and hip of the working leg in a controlled manner.
- 4 - Lightly tap your heel to the floor without fully transferring your weight, maintaining tension in the working leg.
- 5 - Press through the heel of the working foot to drive yourself back up to the starting position, fully extending the hip and knee.
- 6 - Complete all repetitions on one side before switching to the opposite leg.
- 7 - Keep your knee tracking in line with your toes throughout the movement to ensure proper alignment and stability.
