Barbell Power Curl
- 1 - Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell with an underhand (supinated) grip slightly wider than shoulder-width.
- 2 - Begin with the bar hanging at hip level with your arms fully extended and your core braced.
- 3 - Generate momentum by slightly hinging at the hips and using a controlled hip drive to initiate the curl.
- 4 - Explosively curl the barbell upward toward your shoulders by flexing your elbows, using the momentum from the hip drive to assist the movement.
- 5 - At the top of the movement, squeeze your biceps and ensure the barbell reaches shoulder height.
- 6 - Lower the barbell back down in a controlled manner to the starting position.
- 7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining a powerful and explosive tempo on each rep.
