Barbell Incline Bench Press Close Grip
- 1 - Set an incline bench to approximately 30-45 degrees and lie back with your feet planted firmly on the ground.
- 2 - Position yourself so that your eyes are directly under the barbell on the rack.
- 3 - Grip the bar with a close, shoulder-width or slightly narrower grip, palms facing forward.
- 4 - Unrack the bar by extending your arms fully, then slowly lower it toward your upper chest in a controlled manner.
- 5 - Keep your elbows tucked close to your body throughout the movement to maximize tricep engagement.
- 6 - Press the bar back up to the starting position in a straight line until your arms are fully extended.
- 7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then carefully re-rack the bar.
