Cable Lateral Raise Lean-Away
- 1 - Set a cable pulley to the lowest position and attach a single D-handle.
- 2 - Stand sideways to the machine and hold the handle with the hand farthest from the pulley, allowing the cable to cross in front of your body.
- 3 - Grip the machine or upright support with your free hand and lean your body slightly away from the pulley while keeping your feet stable.
- 4 - Brace your core, keep your working arm slightly bent, and start with the handle near the front of your thigh.
- 5 - Raise your arm out to the side in a controlled arc until it reaches about shoulder height, keeping your shoulder down and avoiding shrugging.
- 6 - Pause briefly at the top, then slowly lower the handle back to the starting position under control.
- 7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch sides.
