Couch Stretch
1 - Start in a half-kneeling position facing away from a couch, bench, or wall.
2 - Place the shin and top of the foot of your rear leg against the couch or wall, with your rear knee close to the base of the support.
3 - Step the opposite foot forward so the front knee is bent about 90 degrees and the foot is flat on the floor.
4 - Gently squeeze the glute of the rear leg and brace your core to keep your pelvis tucked under.
5 - Slowly bring your torso upright while maintaining the glute squeeze and avoiding excessive arching in the lower back.
6 - Hold the stretch while breathing steadily, feeling a stretch through the front of the rear thigh and hip.
7 - Switch sides and repeat for the desired duration.
