Downward Dog
- 1 - Begin on all fours with your hands shoulder-width apart and knees hip-width apart, wrists aligned under your shoulders.
- 2 - Spread your fingers wide and press your palms firmly into the mat, distributing weight evenly through your hands.
- 3 - Tuck your toes under and exhale as you lift your knees off the floor, pushing your hips up and back toward the ceiling.
- 4 - Straighten your legs as much as possible while pressing your heels toward the floor, forming an inverted V-shape with your body.
- 5 - Keep your arms straight, engage your core, and lengthen your spine by drawing your chest toward your thighs.
- 6 - Relax your head and neck, allowing your ears to align with your upper arms, and gaze toward your navel or feet.
- 7 - Hold the position for the desired duration, breathing deeply and steadily throughout.
