Barbell Overhead Squat
- 1 - Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart or slightly wider, toes pointed slightly outward.
- 2 - Clean and press the barbell overhead, gripping it with a wide snatch grip (wider than shoulder-width), arms fully extended and locked out.
- 3 - Brace your core, engage your lats, and keep the bar positioned slightly behind your head with your wrists neutral.
- 4 - Begin the descent by pushing your hips back and bending your knees, keeping your chest up and torso as upright as possible.
- 5 - Lower yourself until your thighs are at least parallel to the floor, maintaining the bar directly over your mid-foot throughout the movement.
- 6 - Drive through your heels to return to the standing position, keeping the bar locked out overhead and your core fully engaged.
- 7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining control and stability throughout.
