Overhead Carry
- 1 - Stand tall with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a weight (dumbbell, kettlebell, or barbell) overhead with one or both arms fully extended.
- 2 - Press the weight(s) directly overhead, locking out your elbow(s) and stacking your wrist(s) over your shoulder(s).
- 3 - Engage your core, glutes, and lats to create a stable base and prevent any lateral lean or excessive arching of the lower back.
- 4 - Keep your ribcage down, chin tucked, and gaze forward as you begin to walk in a controlled, deliberate manner.
- 5 - Take short, steady steps, maintaining full-body tension and keeping the weight stable overhead throughout the movement.
- 6 - Continue walking for the desired distance or duration without losing alignment or dropping the weight.
- 7 - To finish, carefully lower the weight back to your shoulders and then to the ground in a controlled manner.
