Barbell Deadlift
- 1 - Stand with your feet about hip-width apart, with the barbell positioned over the middle of your feet.
- 2 - Hinge at your hips and bend your knees slightly to grip the bar just outside your legs, keeping your arms straight.
- 3 - Set your back in a neutral position, brace your core, pull your shoulders down and back, and keep your chest up.
- 4 - Drive through your feet and extend your hips and knees together to lift the bar, keeping it close to your body.
- 5 - Stand tall at the top with your hips fully extended, without leaning backward or overextending your lower back.
- 6 - Lower the bar by hinging at the hips first, then bending your knees once the bar passes them, maintaining control throughout.
- 7 - Reset your position and repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
