Block Pull
- 1 - Set a loaded barbell on sturdy blocks so the bar starts below the knees, at knee height, or at the desired pulling height.
- 2 - Stand with your feet about hip-width apart and the bar positioned over the midfoot.
- 3 - Hinge at the hips, grip the bar just outside your legs, and brace your core with your chest up and back neutral.
- 4 - Pull the slack out of the bar, engage your lats, and keep your shoulders slightly in front of or directly over the bar.
- 5 - Drive through your feet and extend your hips and knees to stand tall, keeping the bar close to your body throughout the lift.
- 6 - Lock out by squeezing your glutes without leaning backward or overextending your lower back.
- 7 - Lower the bar under control back onto the blocks, reset your position, and repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
