Barbell Snatch-Grip Romanian Deadlift
- Stand with your feet hip-width apart, toes pointing slightly outward, with the barbell resting against your thighs.
- Take a wide snatch-grip on the bar (significantly wider than shoulder-width), with your palms facing down and using a hook grip or overhand grip.
- Engage your core, retract your shoulder blades, and maintain a neutral spine throughout the movement.
- Push your hips back and hinge forward, lowering the bar along the front of your legs while keeping a slight bend in your knees.
- Continue lowering the bar until you feel a deep stretch in your hamstrings, typically until the bar reaches mid-shin level, keeping the bar close to your body.
- Drive your hips forward and squeeze your glutes to return to the starting position, maintaining a flat back throughout the ascent.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining control and tension in the posterior chain throughout each rep.
