Rock Climbing
- Approach the wall or rock face and assess the route, identifying hand and foot holds before beginning your climb.
- Engage your core and maintain a relaxed grip on the holds to conserve energy throughout the climb.
- Keep your hips close to the wall and use your legs to drive upward rather than relying solely on your upper body strength.
- Move one limb at a time in a controlled, deliberate manner, establishing a stable three-point contact before advancing.
- Look ahead to plan your next sequence of moves, positioning your feet precisely on holds to maximize balance and efficiency.
- Use proper breathing techniques, exhaling on exertion and staying mentally focused throughout the ascent.
- When descending, carefully down-climb or use a controlled rappel/lowering system with a partner belaying you safely to the ground.
