Cable Lateral Raise Behind Back
- 1 - Set a cable pulley to the lowest position and attach a single D-handle.
- 2 - Stand side-on to the cable machine and grasp the handle with the hand farthest from the pulley, allowing the cable to pass behind your body.
- 3 - Stand tall with your feet about shoulder-width apart, brace your core, and keep a slight bend in your working elbow.
- 4 - Start with your working arm slightly behind your hip, palm facing inward, and shoulder relaxed away from your ear.
- 5 - Raise your arm out to the side in a controlled arc until it reaches about shoulder height, leading with your elbow and keeping your torso still.
- 6 - Pause briefly at the top, then lower the handle back to the starting position under control.
- 7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch sides.
