Barbell Power Shrug
1 - Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, with a barbell resting on your thighs using an overhand grip slightly wider than shoulder-width.
2 - Slightly bend your knees and hinge at the hips, keeping your back flat and chest up in a quarter squat position.
3 - Explosively drive through your legs and hips, generating upward momentum through your body.
4 - As you reach full hip and knee extension, rise onto your toes and aggressively shrug your shoulders straight up toward your ears.
5 - Allow the momentum to pull the bar upward while keeping it close to your body throughout the movement.
6 - Lower the bar back to the starting position in a controlled manner and reset your stance.
7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining explosive intent on each rep.
