One-Leg Calf Raise
- 1 - Stand upright near a wall or sturdy surface for balance support, placing one hand lightly on it.
- 2 - Shift your weight onto one foot, lifting the opposite foot slightly off the ground by bending the knee behind you.
- 3 - Position the ball of your standing foot on the edge of a step or flat on the ground, with your heel free to move.
- 4 - Slowly raise your heel as high as possible by pressing through the ball of your foot, contracting your calf at the top.
- 5 - Hold the peak contraction for a brief moment, then slowly lower your heel back down to the starting position in a controlled manner.
- 6 - Complete all repetitions on one leg before switching to the other.
