Chair-Assisted Sit-Up
- 1 - Lie flat on your back on a mat with your legs bent at a 90-degree angle and your calves resting on the seat of a chair.
- 2 - Position the chair so that your thighs are perpendicular to the floor and your lower back is flat against the mat.
- 3 - Place your hands lightly behind your head or cross them over your chest, keeping your elbows wide.
- 4 - Engage your core and exhale as you curl your upper body upward toward your knees, lifting your shoulder blades off the mat.
- 5 - Continue rising until your torso is upright or close to your thighs, maintaining a neutral spine throughout the movement.
- 6 - Inhale and slowly lower your torso back down to the starting position in a controlled manner.
- 7 - Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, keeping your core engaged throughout the entire set.
