The best Trainerize alternative in 2026 is TrueCoach if you want a cleaner workout sender, Everfit if you want a cheaper start, Hevy Coach if your clients already log there, TrainHeroic if you want their marketplace, and Adiletix if the actual problem is a bill that climbs with every client.
Trainerize itself still works. People leave it when Pro tracks roster size, when nutrition, payments or a branded app sit on add-ons, or when they want to sell programs to people who are not on a weekly call. People stay when those are not the problem.

Why coaches leave Trainerize
The threads in r/personaltraining keep hitting the same three things. They are how the product is built, not a bad week of support.
The subscription is tied to how many people you coach. Trainerize Pro is $25 a month at five clients, $50 at fifteen, $79 at thirty, $135 at fifty, $225 at a hundred. A coach who said their bill had hit about $90 at thirty clients, or $120 with payments on top, is describing that ladder. TrueCoach, Everfit, Hevy Coach and TrainHeroic use the same per-roster model. Growth gets billed twice: once in labour, again in software.
The headline plan is not the working plan. Coaches click a feature and hit another $5 to $15 extra. Nutrition, Stripe payments, video calling and a branded client app are add-ons on the lower tiers. Two coaches on "the same product" can have very different invoices.
The builder and the business are different jobs. Recurring rants are about the workout editor (no undo, lost edits on refresh) and about support after the ABC Fitness acquisition. Separately, Trainerize is built to manage the clients you already have. If the next stage is packaging a program and selling it to strangers, you are shopping a marketplace as well as a coaching inbox.
None of this means Trainerize is the wrong tool. It means the leave-reason should pick the next tool.
Who should stay
Stay if most of this is true:
- Your clients already live in the app and you do not want a migration week.
- Apple Health, Garmin, Fitbit or MyFitnessPal is a daily part of how you coach. That is still a gap on several newer platforms, including Adiletix.
- The size of the video library matters more than how the bill behaves at 40 clients.
- You are delivering programs to a known roster, not selling them to people you have never met.
Do not spend a week of exports to save a few dollars on a five-person book.

Two fair readings:
- Under about ten clients, Adiletix is not the cheap option. Everfit at $19 and TrainHeroic at $17.99 undercut it. Trainerize at $25 for five seats does too.
- At fifty clients the arithmetic flips. Trainerize is $135. TrueCoach is $164.98. Everfit is $95. TrainHeroic is $74.99 before a marketplace cut. Adiletix is still $39.99. That gap is the argument for a flat plan. It is not an argument that the products are identical.

Adiletix wins the rows people leave Trainerize over: a bill that does not track headcount, a 5% sale fee instead of a 30% marketplace cut, and a training history that does not die with the coaching seat. It does not win wearables or a 3,500-video library. Those stay on the page so the comparison is usable.
TrueCoach
TrueCoach is what most strength coaches mean by "just send the workout." The builder is clean. The client app is well liked. You are not wandering through a CRM to program a squat.
Five clients are $29.98 a month. Twenty are $69.98. Fifty are $164.98. After that you are on custom pricing. Payments run through the platform at a 5% fee on top of card processing.
The ceiling is the complaint next to the praise: no marketplace, no deep nutrition module, a bill that jumps hard between published caps. Client 21 costs the same as client 50.
Fits a coach who wants delivery quality and can live without a storefront or a flat bill at 40+ clients.
Breaks down when the roster outgrows the published tiers, or when program sales become a real revenue line.
Everfit
Everfit is the usual first stop because the free tier is real: five clients, no trial clock. Paid Pro is $19 at five, $29 at ten, $49 at twenty, $95 at fifty. Cheapest serious on-ramp in this set.
Meal plans, Autoflow and payments are add-ons. Payments alone are $9 a month plus 3.15% + $0.30 on US cards. Public threads about the Everfit app (not the marketing site) repeat slowness, a "zero clients" ghost state, and notification spam. The AI builder has been called a form-filler: it can log a session, it does not own progression across a block.

Adiletix
Adiletix is a coach platform, an athlete training app, and a program marketplace on one product. TrainHeroic is the other name that belongs there.
The coach plan is a flat $39.99 a month (live Stripe price on /coach; yearly option exists) for unlimited clients, plus a 5% fee when a program sells. There is also a path that skips the subscription and keeps the 5% sale fee. On a $100 program that is $95 to the coach. The same sale on TrainHeroic Marketplace, when TrainHeroic sourced the buyer, is a 30% cut plus card fees.

- "Every feature is another add-on." Coach features on Adiletix sit on the one plan. That list is the one on /coach/pricing.
- "My bill went up because I got more clients." Five clients and fifty clients are the same $39.99.
- "I want to sell a program, not only coach a roster." One share link, Stripe payout, 5% fee.
- "If this client leaves, their log leaves with the seat." On Adiletix the athlete owns the history.
The honest gaps:
- No Apple Health / Garmin / MyFitnessPal sync yet. If wearable data is how you coach, Trainerize still wins that row.
- The public exercise library is 1,500+ movements with 100+ templates. Enough to program with. Not the 3,500+ video count TrueCoach and Trainerize advertise.
- Shorter track record.
Fits a coach past a few dozen clients, or anyone who wants to sell programs without giving up a third of the sale, and who can live without wearable sync for now.
Breaks down if the only job is cheap logging for five clients, or if Garmin data in the coach inbox is non-negotiable this quarter.
Hevy Coach
Hevy won the athlete tracker job first. Hevy Coach is the coaching layer on top of that app. If your clients already log every set in Hevy, putting them on a second client app is the expensive part of a switch.
The coach plan starts at $25 a month for one to ten clients and then climbs. Reviews in 2026 repeat the same missing pieces: no nutrition, no client billing, no branded app, thin group messaging. Clients use the standard Hevy app.
Treat it as a programming and accountability tool for strength clients who already have a logging habit. Do not treat it as a business operating system.

TrainHeroic
TrainHeroic is the closest peer to Adiletix on paper: coaches program, athletes train in a dedicated app, and there is a public marketplace. For team and S&C work it has been the default for years.
The coach subscription is per athlete: $17.99 at five, $44.99 at twenty-five, $74.99 at fifty, $99.99 at a hundred. Marketplace sales TrainHeroic sources take 30% of the purchase price plus 2.9% + $0.30. Sales you drive through your own link are much cheaper. Do not quote 30% against a coach who only ever sells through their own link.
Other recurring complaints: no nutrition, limited 1:1 video, an athlete app with a mixed store rating. Independent reviews have said the same thing for years: great for teams, cumbersome if you are running a 1:1 book.
Fits S&C coaches and teams who want that athlete experience and are fine paying for seats plus, if they use Marketplace Match, a 30% cut.

Export client data from Trainerize while you still have access. Write down the integrations you actually use, not the ones on the sales page. Price each finalist at your roster size with the add-ons you would turn on. Then run two platforms in parallel for one client week. The software that survives that week is the one worth the migration.
