Barbell Snatch Balance
- Begin with the barbell resting on your upper traps in a back squat position, feet set at your squat-width stance with toes slightly turned out.
- Grip the bar with a wide snatch grip (wider than shoulder-width), ensuring your hands are positioned as they would be in a full snatch.
- Take a deep breath, brace your core, and set your back tight to create a stable base.
- Dip slightly by bending your knees and hips, then explosively drive through your legs while simultaneously pressing yourself down under the bar.
- As you drive under, punch your arms forcefully overhead, locking out the bar directly above your ears with active shoulders pushing into the bar.
- Receive the bar in a full overhead squat position with your hips below parallel, knees tracking over your toes, and the bar stabilized overhead.
- Stand up from the squat by driving through your heels, maintaining the bar locked out overhead, then return to the starting position.
