- Select an appropriately weighted log or timber and position it on the ground in front of you.
- Hinge at the hips and bend your knees to squat down, gripping the timber firmly with both hands at a comfortable width.
- Brace your core, keep your chest up and spine neutral, then drive through your heels to lift the timber off the ground to a carry position at hip or chest height.
- Stand tall with your shoulders packed back and down, maintaining a strong upright posture throughout the carry.
- Walk forward at a controlled, steady pace for the prescribed distance or duration, keeping the timber stable and close to your body.
- Breathe rhythmically throughout the carry, maintaining full-body tension and avoiding excessive forward lean or rotation.
- To finish, carefully lower the timber back to the ground by hinging at the hips and bending the knees in a controlled manner.
