Barbell Suitcase Deadlift
- 1 - Stand beside the barbell with your feet hip-width apart, the bar positioned next to your right or left foot.
- 2 - Hinge at the hips and bend your knees to lower yourself down, gripping the barbell in the middle with one hand using a neutral grip.
- 3 - Brace your core, keep your chest up, and maintain a neutral spine throughout the lift.
- 4 - Drive through your heels and extend your hips and knees simultaneously to lift the bar off the floor, keeping the bar close to your leg.
- 5 - Resist the urge to lean or rotate toward the side holding the bar — keep your torso as upright and square as possible.
- 6 - Stand fully upright at the top with hips and knees locked out, then lower the bar back to the floor in a controlled manner.
- 7 - Complete all reps on one side before switching to the other hand.
